David Hockney
Born on July 9, 1937, in Bradford, England.
He went on to study at the Royal College of Art in London, where he began to stand out from the crowd.
His work spans a wide range of mediums, including painting, drawing, printmaking, photography, and performing arts, and he is known worldwide as one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. In particular, his series of paintings depicting California swimming pools and his photo collages, called "Joiners," which combine multiple photographs, are famous.
Beginning with early figurative paintings, he depicts landscapes, portraits, and still lifes with vivid colors and a unique perspective.
Since the 1970s, he has actively engaged in photography and stage design, and in recent years, he has also created digital drawings using an iPad, constantly pursuing new methods of expression.
