The box set GATHERED LEAVES, published in conjunction with the traveling exhibition Gathered Leaves: Photographs by Alec Soth held in London in 2015, contained mini-sized versions of four of the artist's previous masterpieces inside the box, and was a huge hit and sold out.

His first photo book, "Sleeping by the Mississippi," which became his breakthrough, was published in 2004 by the German publisher Steidl, and captures the small moments and stories of people living in rural America on a road trip along the "Third Coast" in a fresh way. It is a classic that has led the current photo book publishing boom and has been reprinted by "MACK" in 2017 after being reprinted many times.
His works "NIAGARA", published in 2006 and reprinted by "MACK" in 2018, and its successor "BROKEN MANUAL" (2010), along with the publishing company "Little Brown Mushroom" which he founded in 2008, have left a strong impression on people's memories, establishing him as a leading figure in the photography publishing industry.
His 2015 publication of "SONGBOOK" returned him to the origins of the photobook, skillfully incorporating a lyrical and meticulous approach into his expression, once again firmly establishing his presence as a master of the photobook genre.
Additionally,
postcards of the main images included in the photo book are included.
The title, "Gathered Leaves," takes its inspiration from poet Walt Whitman's "Song of Myself," and plays on the idea that the photobook represents Soth's reflections and concepts, with her own stories collected in the book.

29 large postcards with photos from the Postcards exhibition printed on one side.
The back features an essay by Aaron Schuman, plus a card with a foreword by exhibition curator and London Media Space director Kate Bush.

Alec Soth (1969-)

One of the most representative contemporary American photographers.
He captures the vast landscape of the American Midwest and the daily lives of the people who live there from a poetic and unique perspective. While inheriting the tradition of documentary photography, he skillfully expresses the sense of distance from the subject and the subtleties of their emotions, evoking deep empathy in the viewer.

Many of his works are shot using a large format 8x10 inch camera.
Shooting with this large-format camera is a time-consuming process, but it also results in detailed depictions and a unique atmosphere in the photographs. The relaxed time he spends with his subjects also contributes to his intimate portraits.

His representative works include "Sleeping by the Mississippi," which he shot while traveling along the Mississippi River, and "Broken Manual," which focuses on airports in small towns in America.
