This is the second photo book by Seoul, South Korea-based photographer Choi Yongjoon .
Published in 2022, three years after his previous work, "Location," this book attempts to interpret cities from a new perspective, using map applications and satellite images as clues.

The series "Element" is made up of small fragments of images cut out under a common framework. By focusing on the details that shape the city - the interiors and exteriors of buildings, roads, land developments, building surfaces - it becomes clear that the layering of plans by anonymous engineers and architects creates unexpected geometric patterns and grids.

"Unidentified order" formed by chance during the process of urban development. By discovering, extracting, and re-presenting these as photographs, this book visualizes the quiet beauty hidden within the woven structure of civilization.
