"City Crime Comics" is a collection of comics that captures the feeling of a dream you're having just as you're waking up, only to have it dissipate in the moment you take a breather - that feeling is captured directly on the pages.

Although readers are certain to have seen something, the meaning and causality quickly unravel, leaving only fragments in a disjointed state, forcing them to choose between desperately pursuing it or letting go of understanding and sinking into another layer.

Rather than a story, this work narrates the process of losing memory and meaning. Strange urban landscapes, unexplained events, and the intertwining of ambiguous gazes. Behind them hangs a disturbing yet intimate presence, suggesting the presence of someone quietly observing us.

The English version of this book was published by Floating World Comics at the same time as the French version was published.

Teddy Goldenberg ( 1985-)

Born in Israel in 1985. Lives and works in Berlin-Pankow, Germany.
He began producing in 2003 and has released short films in English and Hebrew.
Known for his style that combines eccentricity with dark humor, his recent work, City Crime Comics, is published in French by Fidèle Éditions, in English by Floating World Comics, and in Spanish by Fulgencio Pimentel.
