Workshop in South India A luxurious picture book created by Tara Books, inviting you into the world of mythology.
This book is a picture book that depicts fundamental themes such as the birth of the universe and life, death, and rebirth as beautiful art, based on the creation myth passed down by the Gond people of central India.

The artist who created it is Badg Sham, a leading figure in contemporary Gond art.
The story is told by Githa Wolfe, and the Japanese translation is by Eto Aoki.

Inheriting the spirit of "handmade bookmaking" by Tara Books, each book is carefully bound one by one, using silk screen printing on handmade paper made from old cloth. It is a book with a texture like a craft, appealing to all five senses, from the feel of the paper, the smell of the ink, to even the sound of turning the pages.

The story begins with the eruption of water, the swirling of the atmosphere, and the creation of the earth, and unfolds into the flow of time, the changing of the seasons, the budding of life, the birth of art, and death and rebirth. It depicts a perspective of eternity and circulation, where the end and the beginning are connected.

Includes serial number.
This is a picture book that possesses the value of an art object, evoking emotion every time you pick it up.
