『WORKS COPYRIGHT by Tomoo Gokita』is a comprehensive 272-page collection of Tomoo Gokita's vast artwork, including paintings, Polaroid photos capturing everyday scenes, zines, T-shirts, book designs, and album jackets created during his time as a graphic designer.

This book was published to coincide with the exhibition 'FRESH' held at BLUM & POE in Los Angeles in June 2021. It features a continuous series of multi-layered images, offering a comprehensive view of Gokita's creative journey and its breadth.

The collected works intertwine fragments of daily life with fiction, presenting anonymous figures and ambiguous narratives. The sometimes emphasized realism reflects contemporary surveillance and the deluge of images, evoking a somewhat unsettling and "uncanny" feeling.

It also includes an essay titled "UNCANNY GOKITA" by psychoanalyst Jamieson Webster, which attempts to interpret Gokita's images through the lens of Sigmund Freud's psychoanalysis.

Furthermore, the light, magazine-like binding itself creates rhythm as pages are turned, and the continuous flow of fragmented visuals draws readers deeper into the world of the artworks. Overall, it is a book that provides an immersive experience into Tomoo Gokita's imagery.
