This photo book is a record of the time spent with his female students at a part-time high school in Gunma Prefecture (later Isesaki Girls' Part-time High School) by Manabu Maruhashi, who taught there. It is a privately published collection of photographs compiled as a "sequel" to his previous work, "A Certain Youth," published in 1977.

Part-time students arrive at school in the evening and head home at night. In an attempt to close the gap between them in their limited time, Maruhashi began to turn his camera, a hobby of his, on them as he spent time with them. This film not only documents their time at school, but also visits them after they have graduated as "senior visitors," capturing their lives afterward. Watching them talk about how their four years at part-time school have been a source of support for them, also led him to question his own role as a teacher.

At the end of the book, there are heartfelt comments from students who received copies of the book. The photographs and words overlap, conveying the preciousness of the time spent in the field of education, sharing their feelings about the impending closure of the school, memories of the wooden school building, and melodies sung at events.

I'm glad to be a teacher, and glad to continue taking photographs. This feeling permeates every page. This is a sincere documentary that records the intersecting youthful years at school and the path that followed.
