Following the great response to his previous work, "Pastel," this is a special edition of his second art book, "Water," which contains pastel paintings created by Kyohei Sakaguchi from autumn/winter 2020 to summer 2021.
This book contains 237 works that gently blend the concrete and abstract, capturing the moment when light, water, and wind intersect in pastel. The fresh images born from daily observation and production are a direct reflection on the sense of being connected to nature.
The format and binding have been completely redesigned from the previous work, and the number of pages has been significantly increased. The book also includes the essay "I'll Keep Drawing Every Day Until I Die" (in both Japanese and English), in which Sakaguchi talks about how he views and continues to paint the "play of light, water, and wind."
This book, with its binding unique to the special edition, touches upon the core of Sakaguchi's current creative work.
