The film is themed around Japanese high school girls, and each actress plays a different character while changing their uniform, hairstyle, and makeup, and takes self-portraits.
In this series, Sawada photographs herself in order to question issues of identity in modern society, such as how women express themselves and become embedded in society and groups. By using herself as a model rather than seeking others as subjects, Sawada explores both individuality and collectivity from a more deeply personal perspective.
Through the uniformity of the uniform, Sawada plays women who appear the same at first glance, but who are each different, posing the question to the viewer: "How do you exist within a group?"
