Get shot and die.
The photographic paper became the evidence. The printed image appeared before my eyes, smelling like something raw.
If the time axis of this world exists within the photograph, then I am completely outside of it, and in an attempt to escape from the present, an uncertain, elusive thing that hangs in the air, I desperately search for clues to that certainly existing axis.
The act of creating a still time in opposition to the flow of time itself that leads to my own death is akin to prayer, and the image is founded on a strong desire and attachment towards a being that is in opposition to the self.
When he shoots, he creates mechanisms to create coincidences, and waits for the camera to hit him unpredictably, in order to lose control of the vision he consciously has.
If "shooting" to take a photograph means shooting or killing, then conversely it means being shot, and there is a time when the act of killing brings you back to life.
I am already looking at the photograph at the stage of encountering the subject or the scene, or even before that. The time that exists before the photograph is taken strikes me, who is out of my league, and revives me.
The body is merely a medium. I had a canary in my stomach.
See what people and landscapes brought to life through photography offer to the afterlife.
