A complete 14-volume set of "Moomin Comics" by Tove Jansson and Lars Jansson. This collection features the Moomin comic strips serialized in the British newspaper "Evening News" from 1954, offering a different charm than the novels and picture books.
In addition to familiar characters like Moomintroll, Snufkin, Little My, Moominpappa, and Moominmamma, many unique guest characters who appear only in the comics are also featured.
The humor, satire, and parody of the Jansson siblings remain fresh even after more than half a century, lightly portraying themes such as family, adventure, freedom, and loneliness. This set allows you to experience the world of Moomin, which unfolds with a different pace and expression than the novel series, all in one go.
The book design is by Shin Sobue. This complete 14-volume Japanese edition of "Moomin Comics" includes many works introduced in Japan for the first time.
