This photobook is by Bun Ushioda, also known as Shiro Nanbara, who is known as the editor of magazines such as "ALLAN," "Gekko," and "Bocca Melon." He is also known as the younger brother of photographer Tokuko Ushioda. This large 645-page volume primarily features black and white photographs taken from the late 1960s to around 2009.

The book comprises a vast collection of photographs taken in everyday settings, such as his family home in Gotokuji, Inokashira Park, Ueno Zoo, the Shinjuku area, and Maho Shimao's exhibition venue. Animals at the zoo, streets, people, and landscapes are calmly juxtaposed, without converging into a clear theme or narrative, forming a unique world through the persistence and accumulation of the photographs themselves.

At the end of the volume, there is a photography essay titled "A Study of Photography with a Study of Film," which spans over 100 pages. This book can be considered a culmination of Bun Ushioda's thoughts and practices, accumulated over many years as a photo editor, magazine publisher, and photographer. It is also an interesting resource for understanding the photography movement centered around the independent gallery "Prism" in the 1970s and his interactions with photographers of the same era.
